With the founding of The School of Accelerated and Distance Education (formerly the College for Professional Studies) in 1996, the university renewed and expanded this commitment to adult learners. Beginning with sites in Bismarck and Fargo, ND, in 10 short years we have grown to include 18 sites in six states as well as a program that is delivered completely online. We have over 3,000 graduates and currently serve 900-plus students through our site-based and online programs.
Our accelerated programs recognize that adult students have the experience, the discipline, and the capability of learning through a nontraditional approach. With accelerated programs at both the bachelor's and master's degree levels, U-Mary is the region's No. 1 choice for adult learners.
The University of Mary has enjoyed continuous accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools since 1969. The new online program for the University of Mary has also received accreditation. We take great pride in delivering accredited programs that are specifically designed and developed around the dynamic needs of the adult learner. We strive to aid adult learners in expanding their skills, knowledge, and abilities needed to excel as effective leaders while maintaining balance with family, work and community obligations.
I think I speak for everyone in the school when I say, feel free to connect with us. It is our privilege to work with you as you explore the options for continuing your education. We are committed to you the student. Discover the University of Mary School of Accelerated and Distance Education and experience the difference!
